If you are a student, staff, or faculty member, you can simply bring the book (or other item) that you wish to check out to the circulation desk, along with your Dickinson ID. A library staff member or student worker will then be able to check the item out to you and tell you what date it is due.
If you are a visitor to the library and do not already have a courtesy borrower card, you will need to get one before you can check out materials. For more information about services the library provides to visitors, see the Visitor Services page.
